Fischer 512999 Spacer Screw ASL 6 x 275 electro-galvanized steel 100 pieces
The Fischer Spacer Screw ASL is a special screw made of galvanized steel with two threads matched in pitch, for precise and time-saving spacer mounting. The special screw is installed using through-hole mounting. When screwing in the screw, the outer thread digs into the pre-drilled mounting piece and locks it in place. If the screw is installed at an angle of 15 - 30°, higher transverse loads can be accommodated. The Fischer ASL Spacer Screw is ideal for fastening wooden window and door frames, cladding, and substructures into wood and wood materials without the use of plugs.
Advantages
- The matched pitch allows for very fine adjustment of the attachment, even at an angle
- During screwing, the top thread cuts into the attachment. This keeps the attachment at a distance with a strong connection capable of withstanding tensile and compressive loads.
- When used in combination with SX 8 or UX 8 plugs, the screw can be used in virtually any substrate.
Applications
- Without plug: suitable for wood and wood panels
- With SX or UX plugs: all types of concrete and masonry
Building materials
- The ASL is suitable for through-hole mounting
- Pre-drill into the attachment at the desired angle to achieve the correct positioning
- When screwing in the screw, the external thread cuts deep into the attachment, creating a connection capable of withstanding tensile and compressive loads
- When using the screw at an angle (15° - 30°), higher shear loads can be absorbed
