- With the SMK4896 mounting base (formerly known as SMK23U), you can raise the Firex detector, allowing you to connect the detector to wiring or a terminal block.
- Use this surface mounting base if there is no mounting box present in your ceiling. The base is suitable for Firex KF20 / KF20R / KF30 / KF30R.
- The side breakout ports for cable entry make this base suitable for through-wiring and compatible with Firex smoke and heat detectors (Kidde KF20/30).
