Airpress 362803 Screw Compressor APS 3 Basic G2 10 bar 3 hp/2.2 kW 294 l/min
Special Features
- The APS Basic G2 series is the entry-level series among screw compressors and consists of extremely reliable machines with low noise levels. The APS 3 Basic G2 is a standalone screw compressor with a more efficient screw block than its predecessor and is a compact model. Thanks to the more efficient screw block, this series of screw compressors boasts approximately 15% higher compressed air output. The screw compressor is easy to operate, as it features a start/stop system without run-on time, meaning all operating hours are pump hours. The major advantage of a screw compressor is that it is 100% loadable. Due to the correct configuration of the installation, its applicability is very wide. When a low noise level is desirable but low air consumption is required, a screw compressor can still be installed, for example with a heating belt and the right pressure vessel.
- The 3 hp APS 3 Basic G2 features a C43 screw block and has an operating pressure between 5.5 and 10 bar. The new C43 screw block in the Basic series replaces the C40 screw block. Just as reliable as its predecessor, but larger and with tighter tolerances, resulting in 15% more air output at the same power, which ensures energy savings.
The screw block is V-belt driven, has a motor classification of IE3 and protection degree IP55. The rotational speed of the screw block is 2950 RPM, delivering an effective capacity of 294 l/min. - The ambient temperature should be between 1°C and 46°C for optimal performance. When installing the screw compressor, keep in mind that it requires three-phase power to operate. The standalone APS 3 Basic G2 is a compact model without a pressure vessel. This means you need a pressure vessel to store compressed air; you require a minimum of 300 liters. A larger pressure vessel is, of course, also possible and ensures that the screw compressor runs longer to fill it, allowing it to reach the proper operating temperature. This limits the formation of condensation in the separator tank to a minimum and prevents damage to the screw block. A larger pressure vessel also ensures more stable pressure in the system, allowing consumers to work with constant pressure. A screw compressor is suitable for a 100% load and may be used 24/7. With the start/stop system, this screw compressor is easy to operate; you switch the machine on with the on/off switch and the screw compressor does its work. The pressure gauge shows how much pressure the machine builds up, and the hour counter keeps track of the number of operating hours. The air connection of this screw compressor is 3/4".
- To cool the screw compressor, it is equipped with forced air cooling by means of a fan located on the motor. The oil temperature is regulated by a thermostat that circulates the oil through the cooler once the maximum temperature is reached. If average air consumption is low, a heating belt can ensure that the oil remains at temperature and that minimal condensation forms in the oil. If there is a high demand for compressed air, it is available, making a screw compressor widely applicable.
