Depending on the wearer's preference or the application need, the helmet-mounted versions are available in a non-conductive, electrically insulated version or with robust metal arms.

Our earmuffs combine 3M's legendary knowledge of hearing protection with advanced technology. They feature a specially designed spacer that improves noise reduction without unnecessary bulk and weight. Lightweight ear cups with maximum space help reduce heat buildup and moisture accumulation. The headband model features an electrically insulated, double headband that helps reduce heat buildup on the head. The stainless steel wire, coated with plastic, makes the headband the most robust 3M has to offer. The headband is both strong and comfortable because the flat, wide headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the top of the head. No exposed metal means the product is 'dielectric' and offers electrical resistance for applications with a risk of sparks or charge. Carefully molded sliders ensure the earmuffs can be easily adjusted to the head. The wide, soft foam ear cushions ensure workers remain comfortable, while the flat cups provide better to offer compatibility with other safety equipment. To offer a product that meets the requirements of the task or the user's preferences, the helmet-mounted version is available as a P5 with the same non-conductive properties as the headband model. For applications that do not require electrical insulation, the P3 model with helmet-mounted and neckband is available. The foam pads and inserts, available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, thus extending the product's lifespan.
